„ The Sutra of the recollection of the glourious three juwels“ in Sanskrit:
„arya ratna traya anusmriti sutra“
a) arya – highest, surprime
b) ratna – jewel
c) traya – three
d) anu – after
e) smriti – remembering
f) sutra
Sanskrit title brings blessings, creates an auspicious connectionwith the languuage.
For composing a text one should realize the true nature of dharmata, or seeing one´s personal deity such as manjushri or Tara, or must see his personal yidam. Or one should be a person of great knowledge, or great scholar with great intelligence and perseverance.
Title in Sanskrit for remember and respect the kindness and work of the panditas, lotsawas and translators of the past.
phags pa – arya – better, superior
( the three juwels trancend the ordinary)
dkon mchog – ratna – surprime rare thing, a precious jewel
has to have 6 qualities:
1.rare, 2. unstained, 3. the power of mind, 4. should be the ornament of the world, 5. exellent, 6. unchanging
including: rarity and preciousness
Only three things have got these qualities. 1. the teacher 2. the teaching of the dharma 3. the students or followers, bodhisattvas.
recollection- remembering the qualities of the objects of refuge, Buddha, Dharma and Sangha
sutra – mdo (tib.) – something essential, many essential meanings are gathered or are all composed together
